Today we got on a plane & flew to the west coast! We've never been to San Francisco and we're excited. So far, my brother picked us up at the airport and took us for burritos in the Mission district,
we watched the end of the world cup, and did a lot of walking. We took a cable car to the embarcadero and then meandered. We went north from pier 1 (Mike enjoyed a vegan organic green tea donut because even the junk food is different here) all the way to the wharf (I got a hat) and then up the biggest hill in the universe (I'll be confirming with Guinness shortly) rather than wait in the huge line for the return cable car. The views down Hyde street were fantastic, but it definitely would have been nice to ride to the top! :)
Interesting find - on the undeveloped piece of the hill, someone is raising goats.
We found some sushi for Mike for a late dinner and are now going to bed at 9:30. (but really, thats the same as 12:30am, and we have been up since 4am!)
