Year 3 - Day 138 - May 17

My double play big bang spireas are blooming right now. Since we killed the lilac (which I hear is very hard to do - but if anyone can kill the unkillable, it's us) these are the only plants we have with color in the front beds. Our goal was a simple look with no effort, so that's the price we pay. We are totally ok with it, but it is exciting to get color a couple times a year.
