Year 2 - Day 288 - October 16

Soon, my college students are going to be writing an analytical essay contrasting either 2 fairy tales or a book and its film version. To prepare, I'm modeling the assignment with this week's novel and its film companion. I read the book Winn Dixie years ago but re-read it for this week and then hunted down the movie at the public library. It wasn't nearly as good as the book (is it ever?) but it wasn't as awful as I thought it would be. Hopefully this goes well. :)
