Year 3 - Day 131 - May 10

When you're a teacher, there's no clocking out for an hour to run to the dentist or eye doctor or whatever. If you have to get a sub, it's either 1/2 day AM, 1/2 day PM, or all day. That means that those 9am or 3pm appointments leave a lot of time open in your day and sometimes, you just can't avoid those appointment times. Today was a 9am appointment kind of day. However, this particular place was right across the street from the new Sonic. I decided to treat myself to a medium cherry limeade on the way by. When it's not happy hour, these buggers are expensive. A medium was $2 even! Especially considering that about every 6 weeks, Minute Maid Cherry Limeade goes on sale at Shop Rite for less than $1/half gallon. But boy was it good. At least now I've been to the one that's here.

Year 3 - Day 106 - April 15

After waiting for almost a year for the Bel Air Sonic to open, the day is finally here. It opened this morning for breakfast.

However, this drink is not from that Sonic. We were at Costco today and decided to grab drinks at the one down there because we were sure the lines in Bel Air would be horrible. (We were right - we heard stories of cops having to direct traffic!)

So we celebrated the opening of Sonic being 8 minutes away by visiting one 25 minutes away. That's totally reasonable, right? :)

Year 3 - Day 103 - April 12

It's almost here! Sonic is opening this weekend! I wonder if they're open at 6:45 when I drive by for bloodwork in the morning.

Hmm... drive through bloodwork. That'd be a neat invention. My arm is right next to the window! It'd certainly save me time from walking upstairs. :) Don't they do drive through flu vaccinations? Bloodwork is basically the opposite, taking things out instead of putting things in!

I'm going to make millions on this idea, especially if they combine WITH a Sonic and hand you a cherry limeaid on the way out. Genius!

Year 2 - Day 65 - March 6

Another day where I don't have a good picture of the best part of the day, but our giant Sonic cups will have to do.  We drove up to PA to celebrate baptisms today and spend some time with my husband's family.  My phone died, so I didn't get any family pictures.  I charged it while we were at the party and got a shot of our almost 80 ounces of Sonic Cherry Limeade that we got for the ride home!!!  We got to Sonic during happy hour, his 32 ouncer was only a buck, and my 44 ouncer was $1.10 and came with a token for a free drink on our next visit.  Excellent! :)

Day 142 - May 22

I finally got to eat at Sonic tonight.  Two other times in my life I got a drink during their "Happy Hour," but this is the first time I got to eat their food.  I had my fast food staple - popcorn chicken and fries.  They were ok, but the cherry limeade continues to be my favorite drink anywhere! :)
