Year 2 - Day 109 - April 20

After getting 2 estimates, we picked a tree trimming company.  They were tenatively scheduled for Friday but called this morning to say they could come today instead.  (I was happy about this, because it means my Friday is now wide open!)  A huge team of people showed up & they worked on all 3 trees at the same time.  Here's the guy climbing in the big tree.  With a chainsaw & other nifty tools that made lots of noise we quickly went from this to this:

And then a little more chopping brought us to this:

Our sad little naked tree.  We got all the diseased parts cut off and the leafy overhang that was growing out of the broken branches.  There are still some leaves, but I bet it'll take a fraction of the time to rake next year. :)  It makes the pine trees in the background look like they're growing!
